MAY 7-27 I WILL BE TRAVELING TO EUROPE as part of PPL.  PPL travel with nothing but the props in our backpacks and the shoes we found in the condo trash of brooklyn. If you know people we should meet/can stay with/stuff to see in Berlin, Copenhagen, or surrounding cities and areas,  extra shows to play/perform let us know.

May 10-14 we will be in residence at Gruntaler9, presenting You’re A Big Boy Now OR Rauschenberg ist Todlich. Performances by Ivy Castellanos, Adam Overton, and Hector Canonge in addition to our durational performance/installation/opera/diner.

FRIDAY, October 18, 8:30pm Esther performs at Culture Fix for Performance Anxiety, a free monthly gathering of performance artist and art aficionadas at Culture Fix in the Lower East Side. The aim is to provide a space for the both exploration and presentation of performance art while lowering the barrier between performer and audience.

THURSDAY, October 25, 8pm. Ivy Castellanos, Lindsey Drury, Elinor Thompson, and Esther Neff build a structure inside IV Soldiers Gallery. A treehouse, a platform, a functional reality. Free and open to the public.

FRIDAY, October 26, 8pm-12am, Homage to Allan Kaprow by PPL at Glasshouse (246 Union Avenue, Brooklyn)

The evening begins at 7 with the sharing of drink, the artists are identified as such yet all are welcome to imbibe. As the evening progresses, PPL break down four points on two spectra, translating interpretations of Kaprow’s modes into a performative process. SPECTRUM 1: empty art (the daily framed as art)<—->full art (art framed as the daily) and SPECTRUM 2: artistic ensemble/artist (authorized artists)<—->community public/un-artist (immanence). Throughout the night, PPL move ”forwards” through four points along SPECTRUM 1 and “backwards” along SPECTRUM 2. The score for the four points is posted and each point takes 1 hour. Soup and a through-written 1-minute, collectively-sung opera conclude the evening. Audience members are invited to stay the full four hours, 7pm-11pm, or join the happening at any time.
