LOREN BARNESE

Loren Barnese is one of New York's fresh Midwestern faces. Born and raised in the backwoods of Michigan, she was introduced to the world of theatre her senior year of high school. As soon as she received her diploma, Ms. Barnese was on a plane to New York City to attend The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. She is a true Meisner actress who has trained with experienced Broadway actors. She learned to pirouette from Chicago's original Court Clerk, Gary Gendell, and overcame her fear of singing from vocal extraordinaire, Ron Shetler. In two short years, she has developed her skills both center and backstage. Loren has appeared in shows including Damn Yankees, Biloxi Blues, One Sunday Afternoon, and Top Girls. She has worked behind the scenes at the Rita Morgenthau Theatre in Midtown on shows such as Spring Awakening, Mamma Mia, People in the Wind, North Shore Fish, and The Bald Soprano. Loren has also developed as a musician and songwriter with an extensive archive of guitar melodies which combine complex classical sounds with a simple folk quality. Collaborating with her fire-dancing roommate, they envision a 7-piece band to help split gas money when they tour around the country.
